Transforming wicked problems into opportunities
Wicked problems are problems that are difficult to solve because of incomplete, contradictory and changing requirements. System design and design thinking process could help to overcome fuzziness of such ‘wicked’ scenarios and help to grasp the complexity involved. The aim of the workshop was to give hands-on experience to participants and exchange methodologies and framework of dealing with wicked problems and attempt to convert them into design opportunities through visualization and mapping.

‘Design Thinking Process’

What today’s world is looking for, are the Designers with a creative mind as well as with a logical thinking. Therefore, creativity should be integrated with design thinking process to have a successful design. More than having a magical design at one time, it might be fantastic to have a design idea with a clear path and vision. Therefore, a critical Design Thinking Process is needed.

Design Thinking is a design methodology that provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. It’s extremely useful in tackling complex problems that are ill-defined or unknown, by understanding the human needs involved, by re-framing the problem in human-centric ways, by creating many ideas in brainstorming sessions, and by adopting a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing. Understanding these five stages of Design Thinking will empower anyone to apply the Design Thinking methods in order to solve complex problems that occur around us, in short whatever you do and experience in life. We learn here to have a smart experience with practical knowledge and to understand the Design Thinking Process.
